Atletico Madrid have decided their position over Conor Gallagher’s situation with Manchester United beaming in search of a January transfer swoop, as per Fichajes. The Spanish side’s response was a firm no, with Celta Vigo holding out for a 30m-euro price tag to even begin discussions on what it considers as the minimum acceptable bid.

This role is due to a lack of depth in midfielder for coach Diego Simeone, taking Koke, Pablo Barrios and Jonny Cardoso alongside Gallagher. One of them has played 18 games and 625 minutes this season, yet wants more to guarantee belongs in the squad for Qatar in six years’ time – sparking interest from a number of English clubs.
